The Role

You will be working as a senior Panel Beater in a small, experienced collision repair team in Brisbane’s inner city. The owner is a qualified panel beater himself and leads the floor, so the right person needs to be experienced enough to hold their own technically and to support apprentices when needed. This is hands-on smash repair work in a workshop that has been doing it properly for nearly three decades.

Day to day you will be:

• Carrying out panel beating and collision repair work across a full range of vehicle types and damage profiles
• Performing chassis alignment and straightening to manufacturer specifications
• Completing vehicle restoration work as required across the workshop’s portfolio
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices on the floor
• Working closely with the owner on complex and high-value jobs
• Maintaining the high standard of workmanship that a 30-year reputation demands

If you are an experienced panel beater, smash repairer, collision repair technician, or auto body technician with a broad range of workshop experience, this is the role to apply for.

What We Need

• Trade qualification in Panel Beating, non-negotiable
• Proven experience in a collision repair or smash repair environment across all aspects of the trade
• Chassis alignment and vehicle restoration experience, both specifically required
• Experience mentoring apprentices and working effectively in a small team environment
• Open manual driver’s licence, required
• Energetic, receptive to feedback, and genuinely passionate about the trade, not just the pay packet
• Committed to relocating to Brisbane long term, the company invests in their people and needs someone who will invest back
