Why Apply

Want to actually matter at the company you work for, not just be another number on a crew?

The company is a small but growing Brisbane-based plumbing business operating across commercial and residential maintenance work. They are hiring one full-time Maintenance Plumber and they want someone who is ready to take ownership, embed in the business, and grow with it long term. This is not a faceless corporate operation. The right person will have a direct hand in shaping how the business runs as it scales.

  • Earn 50 to 60 AUD/hr depending on experience, with 11% super on top, confirmed above the current statutory minimum
  • Accommodation provided, land in Brisbane with housing sorted and no pressure to find your own place from day one
  • Company vehicle provided, no out-of-pocket transport costs getting to and from jobs
  • Varied commercial and residential maintenance work across a diverse property portfolio, no repetitive new build grind
  • Ground-floor opportunity with a growing business, come in early and grow your career and your influence within the company
  • Brisbane lifestyle, warm weather, a thriving tradie market, and a city that is genuinely worth making the move for

The Role

You will be carrying out day-to-day maintenance plumbing work across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential properties throughout Brisbane. This is a self-starting, self-managing role. You will be in a company vehicle, moving between jobs, diagnosing faults, and getting on with the work without needing someone beside you every step of the way. Work ethic and quality of output are what matter most here.

Day to day you will be:

  • Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults across commercial and residential properties
  • Replacing fixtures, fittings, and hot water systems across a range of property types
  • Carrying out PRV replacements and backflow testing as required
  • Servicing and maintaining hot water systems across the portfolio
  • Working independently and taking full ownership of jobs from arrival to completion
  • Representing the business professionally on every site and with every customer

Standard hours are 38 to 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. If you are an experienced registered plumber, licensed plumber, or qualified plumbing tradesperson with a maintenance and service background, this is the role to apply for.

What We Need

  • Qualified Plumber
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • White Card, required (can be obtained upon arrival)
  • Solid maintenance plumbing experience across both commercial and residential properties, new build-only backgrounds will not be considered
  • Practical knowledge of hot water systems, PRV replacement, and backflow testing
  • Strong work ethic and a self-starting attitude, this is Joel’s stated number one priority above everything else
  • Genuine commitment to long-term stability, the company wants someone to grow with the business, not pass through it

Why This Role

At 50 to 60 AUD/hr plus 11% super, with accommodation and a company vehicle provided, this is one of the more complete packages available for a maintenance plumber in Brisbane right now. Almost everything is taken care of from day one so you can focus on the work and start building something real.

For Kiwi plumbers who want more than just a job and are ready to back themselves in a growing business, this move makes serious sense.
