Our client is a large, well-established landscape construction company with approximately 800 staff operating across Queensland, NSW, and Victoria. They partner with Tier 1 builders and local councils to deliver community infrastructure projects across parks, sporting fields, irrigation, drainage, paving, civil works, and more. Queensland is their hottest market right now driven by Olympics-related infrastructure investment and significant new work wins. This is not parks maintenance — this is proper landscape construction on major projects.

  • Earn 45 to 50 AUD per hour plus super

The Role

You will be working on community infrastructure and commercial landscape construction projects across Queensland alongside Tier 1 builders and council clients. This is hands-on construction work covering a broad scope of hardscape and softscape disciplines. The right person has strong all-round landscape construction skills and the work ethic and attitude to grow into a leading hand role over time.
Whether you call yourself a landscaper, landscape construction tradesperson, hardscape tradesperson, or landscape construction worker, the core requirement is the same: proven construction experience and a genuine desire to develop your career.

Day to day you will be across:

  • Paving, concreting, and retaining wall construction on community and commercial projects
  • Turf, planting, and softscape installation across parks and sporting fields
  • Irrigation and drainage installation and civil earthworks
  • Timber structure construction and bespoke landscape features
  • Operating plant and machinery as required on active construction sites
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a productive, well-run site

As you develop in the role there is a genuine pathway to move into a Leading Hand position, coordinating daily site activities, interpreting plans, and leading your own crew on major projects.

What We Need

  • Proven hands-on landscape construction experience across hardscape and softscape disciplines, this is not parks maintenance
  • Broad capability across paving, concreting, retaining walls, turf, irrigation, drainage, and civil works
  • Plant and machinery operation experience is a strong bonus
  • Strong work ethic, ability to mentor junior staff, and a team-first attitude
  • Genuine willingness to relocate to Queensland long-term
